Steve Papapietro has more than 17 years of experience in the mortgage industry and has personally assisted thousands of families to become successful homeowners. Integrity and passion are the cornerstones of his business, and he believes that a mortgage is about building relationships and helping clients find a home loan that is right for them. Steve is committed to responsible lending and he understands that buying or refinancing a home is a big decision. He guides his clients with his knowledge and resourcefulness, so that clients make informed decisions with confidence.

As a Bay Area native, Steve has a thorough and deep understanding of the real estate market and the unique attributes of its cities and neighborhoods. He has extensive background assisting first-time homebuyers, high net worth and investment clients, and self-employed borrowers.

Steve began his career in 1994 with Home Savings of America and went on to hold loan officer positions with Washington Mutual, Elliot Ames Mortgage, First Horizon and Met Life. Most recently, Steve was senior mortgage loan officer at Bank of America. He has been recognized as a top producer and consistently achieved President Club designation year-after-year. In 2005 he was ranked number one nationally in purchase and total volume for First Horizon.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from Santa Clara University. He lives in San Carlos with his wife and three children.
