Karen began her career in real estate sales, including both commercial and residential properties, and has been a Mortgage Advisor for over 15 years. Her experience on both sides of a purchase has given her valuable insight that enables her to successfully navigate her clients through the many changes in the industry. At Opes, Karen utilizes her extensive knowledge to understand her client’s specific financial needs and to ensure that the mortgage loan they secure is in alignment with their overall financial goals.

Ms Jung joins Opes Advisors with over 27 years of financial experience beginning her career as a CPA and working in both corporate finance and the real estate industry. She focuses on her clients’ concerns to help them identify and clarify their real estate investment and long term financial goals. At Opes, she offers premier mortgage solutions and has the in-house depth and expertise to create secure financial strategies for her customers. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. With her CPA experience, Marian’s high level of knowledge heightens her ability to design and deliver comprehensive solutions in today’s complex financial world.

Jeffrey T. Smith

Mr. Smith is Opes Advisors’ Branch Manager for Marin County. He has over 20 years of experience in Real Estate, Business and Finance. Most recently, Jeff was with First Horizon Bank/Elliot Ames, Inc. where he was in the top 10% of sales professionals nationwide. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance, from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Series 65 licensed Investment Advisor Representative and a Financial Advisor at Opes. Jeff educates our clients on the significance the mortgage structure has on their financial objectives.

Jeff lives in Mill Valley with his family.

Ms. Victor-Smith is a Marin County native with over 8 years of experience in the financial services industry. Melanie is a Series 65 licensed Investment Advisor Representative and a Financial Advisor at Opes.  Melanie works with Opes clients to assist them in realizing their financial objectives, reviewing the appropriate financial structure and to ensure their success in purchasing their homes.

Melanie lives with her family in Mill Valley.
